Pelleve Skin Tightening

What is pelleve skin tightening?

Is it inevitable that with age wrinkles and fine lines will produce causing creases in the face, particularly in the first third of your face, your crows feet, frown line and forehead, as well as other areas we move a lot on a daily basis like our smile lines. Collagen production tends to slow down in our late 20s to early 30s and this is when we will notice our skin feeling less tight as it used to be.

Pelleve is a non-invasive radiofrequency device that tightens the skin, reducing wrinkles and fine lines on the face. This technology uses a wavelength through an advanced heating process to target deep layers of the skin which in return helps your collagen fibres to produce and regenerate naturally, tightening and contracting the skin. This will give the treated area a more youthful appearance.

Which area can I have pelleve skin tightening?

Usually the pelleve skin tightening treatment is used on the face or neck to reduce the lines and give a more youthful complexion. Even in the more delicate areas like the under eyes, this treatment is suitable.

Other parts of the body such as the back of the hands can be treated on request.

How does it work and when will I see results?

This treatment delivers radiofrequency energy to the skin using an electrode on a Pelleve handpiece which targets the deep layers of the skin, the epidermis to the dermis. A warm sensation of heat with a temperature of 40 degrees will be felt, this confirms the collagen fibres are contracting and stimulating.
This gradual treatment has minimal pain and will take up to 45 minutes to complete. The new collagen production will be ongoing for a couple of weeks post treatment. Unlike, laser treatments, it should not cause any skin damage
The results of the treatment are quite instant and will improve over the next few weeks while the collagen is stimulating over this period. The skin texture will improve over the next couple of days and you will notice a “glow”. After these couple of days the collagen stimulation process will begin and your natural body will heal the treated area. After 14 days and months after collagen synthesis and the remodelling
occurs and the results will speak for itself!

How many treatments do I need?

For maximum results, The Manse recommends 3-5 treatments and 4 weeks apart.
This is the best guide for rebuilding collagen. Also we suggest 6 monthly to yearly maintenance after this process to maintain great results.
Our clinicians at the Manse will recommend the right amount of treatments and create a treatment plan best suited for your skin.

How should I prepare for the treatment?

Avoid retinols and acne medication for a minimum one week prior to the treatment.
Ensure all makeup is removed, including lotions or sunscreen. However we will wipe down your face prior to treatment to ensure there are no missed areas of removal. Come to your treatment well hydrated!

Is it painful?

Pelleve skin tightening has minimal pain with no anesthesia needed. It is seen as quite comfortable and only a warm sensation will be felt.
Patient  have said it feels like a “hot stone massage”.

Am I the right candidate for pelleve skin tightening?

This treatment is usually suitable for all skin types, with mild to moderate facial fine lines and wrinkles who are after an anti-aging and more youthful complexion.
Those who are pregnant are not recommended to have Pelleve done. Also you must share in your consultation with your clinican if you have a cardiac pacemaker, defibrillator, implant or an auto-immune disease as the procedure may  not be able to go ahead if so.

When can I return to normal activities? Is there downtime?

You can return to normal day-to-day activities immediately after treatment! At worst there may be some minimal redness in response to the elevated temperatures to the skin, however this will not last long and will subside shortly after.
It requires no down time after treatment which is great for those who are looking for an invasive treatment,
