Swelling is common immediately after antiwrinkle injections.
It can be due to:
- The fluid in the antiwrinkle injection , this will improve within 45 minutes as it is absorbed
- Swelling around the injection site, due to the needle injecting the skin, this usually improves very quickly
- A bruise. In this case the area of swelling will last longer
