Corrective and Dissolving Treatments at The Manse

Dissolving treatments use an enzyme that can be used to help dissolve certain materials from previous cosmetic treatments. If you are unhappy with results, our clinic offers dissolving treatments performed by experienced practitioners.

The most important risk associated with dissolving treatments is the potential for allergic reaction. It is important for patients to be aware of this risk, and for practitioners performing this treatment to be trained in recognising and managing allergy. A test patch may be used by your practitioner if appropriate.

We advise patients to first consider returning to their previous practitioner if they wish to have dissolving performed. However, if they decide not to, our clinic offers dissolving treatments to help adjust or refine previous work.

We also offer corrective treatments to address outcomes from other practitioners’ work where suitable.

With dissolving, 1–3 treatment sessions are typically required, depending on the individual case.

Please see our dissolving aftercare page for more information on what to expect after treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions – Dissolving Treatments

1. What is dissolving treatment?
Dissolving treatment uses an enzyme that can be used by trained practitioners to help dissolve certain materials from previous cosmetic treatments. It is a medical procedure that should only be performed following a consultation and assessment.

2. When is dissolving treatment recommended?
Dissolving may be considered if a patient is unhappy with the results of a previous treatment, or if adjustments are needed for balance or comfort. Your practitioner will assess the area and discuss suitable options during consultation.

3. Is dissolving treatment safe?
As with all medical procedures, there are risks. The main concern with dissolving is the potential for allergic reaction. Practitioners at The Manse are trained in recognising and managing this, and a test patch may be used if appropriate.

4. How many treatments are usually required?
This varies from person to person. Some clients may notice changes after one session, while others may require 1–3 treatments to achieve the desired adjustment.

5. Should I return to my original practitioner first?
Yes, we recommend speaking with your original practitioner before seeking dissolving treatment. If you decide not to return, our experienced team can assess your situation and discuss corrective treatment options with you.
