Founder of The Manse Clinic & Dr Naomi Skin

ABOUT DR NAOMI
Cosmetic Doctor & Cosmetic Chemist, Sydney
Founder of The Manse Clinic & Dr Naomi Skin
AHPRA REGISTRATION: MED0001609582
Dr Naomi McCullum is an Australian cosmetic doctor and cosmetic chemist who has worked in non-surgical cosmetic medicine in Sydney since 1999. She is the founder of The Manse Clinic, with locations in Paddington and Sydney CBD, and the founder of Dr Naomi Skin.
Dr Naomi’s clinical approach is centred on natural-looking results and long-term aesthetic planning. Her aim is to preserve individual character, expression and facial identity while making considered changes that remain in balance with the face as a whole.
She has a long-standing interest in face design and comprehensive facial assessment. Rather than focusing on individual features or one-off treatments, she considers facial shape, proportions, balance, movement, expression and skin quality together, and how these change over time.
A central part of Dr Naomi’s approach is planning for the long term. Treatment decisions are considered not only for how they may affect a patient now, but for how they fit into the patient’s face, skin and aesthetic goals over the years ahead. Treatment plans can evolve over time rather than repeatedly responding to individual concerns as they arise.
Her current clinical interests include natural facial rejuvenation, face design, facial symmetry, regenerative skin treatments including Rejuran, PDRN and polynucleotides, facial movement and expression-related concerns, and aesthetic concerns relating to muscle size, prominence and contour.
Dr Naomi has a particular interest in masseter and jaw concerns, bruxism and jaw clenching, a wide or muscular lower face, prominent trapezius muscles, muscular neck and shoulder contour, prominent calf muscles and muscular asymmetry.
She leads The Manse Clinic’s Rejuran Clinic in Sydney CBD, where her work focuses on regenerative approaches to skin quality and long-term skin health. Regenerative skin treatments may also form part of a broader face design and long-term aesthetic plan.
Patients do not need to know which treatment they need before seeing Dr Naomi. Consultation begins with the patient’s concerns, anatomy and goals, followed by assessment and discussion of appropriate options.
Dr Naomi currently sees a limited number of patients through her private patient list.

Cosmetic Medicine Experience Since 1999
Dr Naomi has practised cosmetic medicine in Sydney since 1999.
Her early training took place in Sydney cosmetic medicine and dermatology practices, where she developed experience in facial assessment, skin health, laser treatments and non-surgical aesthetic medicine.
Across her career, her clinical work has included facial ageing, facial movement and expression-related concerns, face design, facial proportions and balance, skin quality, jaw and masseter concerns, muscle prominence and asymmetry, laser and energy-based treatments, regenerative skin treatments and cosmetic treatment complications.
Dr Naomi has worked with lasers and energy-based treatments for more than two decades and has incorporated new technologies and techniques into her practice as they have become available in Australia.
Her clinical approach has developed through decades of observing how faces change over time. She uses this experience to identify patterns in facial ageing, movement, proportions and skin quality and to develop treatment plans intended to evolve with the patient.
Face Design, Facial Assessment & Long-Term Aesthetic Planning
Face design is central to Dr Naomi’s clinical practice.
Dr Naomi approaches the face as a whole rather than as a collection of isolated areas. Assessment may include facial shape and proportions, symmetry, movement and expression, facial ageing, skin quality, muscle activity and the relationship between different facial features.
Patients may see Dr Naomi because they have a particular concern, or because they want an experienced cosmetic doctor to assess their face and advise them about what — if anything — may be appropriate.
Her aim is to create natural-looking results that preserve the patient’s individual facial identity rather than producing a standardised aesthetic.
Long-term planning is an important part of this process. Dr Naomi considers how individual treatment decisions fit within a broader strategy for the patient’s face and skin, and how that strategy may need to change as the patient ages.
For some patients, the appropriate plan may involve several different treatment modalities over time. For others, it may involve doing very little.
Muscle, Masseter, Trapezius & Calf Concerns
Dr Naomi has a particular clinical interest in patients concerned about muscle size, prominence, activity, asymmetry and muscular contour of the face and body.
Her clinical interests include the masseter muscles of the jaw, trapezius muscles of the neck and shoulders, and calf muscles of the lower legs.
Patients may seek consultation for concerns including:
- Masseter and jaw concerns — prominent masseter muscles, a wide or muscular lower face, bruxism and jaw clenching
- Trapezius concerns — prominent trapezius muscles or a muscular neck and shoulder contour
- Calf muscle concerns — prominent or bulky calf muscles and lower-leg contour
- Muscular asymmetry — differences in muscle size or activity affecting facial or body appearance
- Muscle prominence and contour — where a patient is seeking a less muscular appearance in selected facial or body areas
Dr Naomi assesses the relevant anatomy, muscle activity, surrounding proportions and the patient’s individual concerns before determining whether treatment is appropriate.
For facial concerns, muscle assessment forms part of a broader evaluation of facial shape, balance and movement. For body concerns, assessment considers muscular anatomy and contour in relation to surrounding body proportions.
Cosmetic Clinic Founder
Dr Naomi founded her cosmetic medical practice on Regent Street in Paddington, Sydney, in 2002.
The Manse Clinic now operates from two Sydney locations:
- The Manse Clinic Paddington — Regent Street, Paddington, established 2002
- The Manse Clinic Sydney CBD — Castlereagh Street, Sydney, established 2020
The Manse is a doctor-led cosmetic medical clinic providing facial assessment and aesthetic planning, non-surgical cosmetic medicine, skin and laser treatments, regenerative treatments and cosmetic complication assessment.
The clinic has incorporated ultrasound imaging into cosmetic assessment, procedural planning and complication management since 2020.
Rejuran, PDRN & Polynucleotides
Dr Naomi has a particular clinical interest in Rejuran, PDRN, polynucleotides and regenerative approaches to skin quality.
She leads The Manse Clinic’s Rejuran Clinic in Sydney CBD, where patients are assessed for regenerative skin treatments according to their individual skin concerns, anatomy and treatment goals.
Her interest in regenerative treatments forms part of her broader approach to natural facial rejuvenation and long-term aesthetic planning. Rather than considering skin separately from the face, Dr Naomi considers skin quality alongside facial structure, movement, proportions and ageing.
Cosmetic Complication Management & Ultrasound
Dr Naomi has a long-standing professional interest in the assessment and management of complications associated with cosmetic medical treatments.
In 2020, she introduced ultrasound imaging into The Manse Clinic to support patient assessment, procedural planning and complication management.
The Manse operates a dedicated Cosmetic Complications Clinic in Sydney, with ultrasound-supported assessment available where clinically appropriate.
Cosmetic Chemistry & Dr Naomi Skin
Alongside her medical career, Dr Naomi undertook formal study in cosmetic formulation science after becoming increasingly involved in the development of Dr Naomi Skin.
In 2024, she completed the Diploma of Personal Care Science through the Institute of Personal Care Science.
Her training in cosmetic chemistry complements her medical background, giving her a perspective that spans cosmetic medicine, skin science, formulation science and skincare product development.
Dr Naomi was a student member of the Australian Society of Cosmetic Chemists (ASCC) from 2023 to 2024 and has been a full member since 2024.
Patient Education & Cosmetic Medicine Media
In 2011, Dr Naomi founded a cosmetic medical blog focused on transparency and public education in cosmetic medicine.
For more than a decade, she has produced educational content and commentary about cosmetic procedures, skin science, treatment safety, complications, ethics and developments within the cosmetic medical industry.
Dr Naomi and her work have been featured in media including Vice, Mamamia, The Sunday Telegraph and Daily Mail Australia.
Dr Naomi’s Approach to Cosmetic Medicine
Dr Naomi’s approach is based on natural-looking results, preserving facial identity and planning for the long term.
Her clinical practice emphasises:
- natural-looking and individualised results
- preservation of facial character and expression
- face design and comprehensive facial assessment
- facial anatomy, proportions, balance, movement and expression
- long-term aesthetic planning
- assessment of facial and body muscle prominence and contour
- regenerative approaches to skin quality
- evidence-informed treatment selection
- patient education and informed decision-making
- treatment safety and complication management
- continuity of care
The objective is not to treat every possible concern or to pursue treatment for its own sake. It is to determine what is appropriate for the individual patient now, what may be appropriate later, and how individual decisions fit into a coherent long-term plan.
