1. Avoid The Sun When Possible
Sun exposure for long periods of time regularly can cause skin damage. Although it is difficult to completely avoid the sun, there are some ways to try to limit it. For example wearing light weight high neck shirts that will cover the chest area. Also, being wary that the peak UV hours are usually between 10am and 4pm. Avoid tanning and focus on sitting in a shaded area!
2. Wear Sunscreen!
Applying and reapplying sunscreen on the chest/decolletage area is important in protecting and improving the skin. Especially for those who spend a lot of their time outdoors, it is recommended to reapply every 2 hours as a preventative for skin damage. SPF 50 is great for maximum protection in Australia. Wearing SPF is also anti-ageing and will see great benefits when using it religiously from a younger age – it will pay off as you age gracefully. Some of the many benefits include preventing wrinkles, skin discolouration, brown spots, crepey skin and skin cancer.
3. Use A Gentle Cleanser Daily
It is important to use a gentle cleanser on your chest rather than a harsh cleanser as the area is delicate and thin. Use your hands with lukewarm water and not a scrubber to avoid irritation and skin damage. This will help remove dead skin cells in this area. We recommend, Gently Gently cleanser by Dr Naomi.
4. Apply Topical Retinoids
Topical retinoids, which derive from vitamin A, are a known anti-ageing formulation that helps with producing increased collagen, improving skin texture and reducing fine lines and wrinkles. Although it is usually used on the face, we highly recommend extending the application down to your chest area as it is just as beneficial. It is important to understand that little amounts of the retinoid should be used in this area to avoid irritating and drying out the skin. We recommend Vitamin Amen by Dr Naomi. However it is quite powerful and some people may need to dilute it with their moisturiser for this delicate area.
5. Sleep On Your Back
Sleeping on your back has many great benefits, including reducing wrinkles on your chest and reducing skin sagginess. “Sleep wrinkles” is definitely a thing we should be wary of! Although it is quite hard to beat the habit of sleeping on your side, it will benefit you in the long run. Some people go to the extent of tucking pillows on their sides to avoid rolling over in their sleep.
6. LED at home
Use of an LED device designed for the neck and decolletage is recommended. This will stimulated collagen and help with fine lines, skin texture and sun damage. We recommend use of the BDE device 3 times per week for 10 minutes.
7 Use of a Neck and Dec Cream
We recommend Hit the Dec treatment cream by Dr Naomi. which is great for immediate blurring and plumping and acts in the long term to treat wrinkles and pigmentation.

8. Biostimulator
Biostimulator injections are a skin tightening procedure that involves collagen stimulation production and replenishing skin elastin. Most importantly it improves skin quality. This is great for the chest region as it will tackle the fine lines, wrinkles and skin folds.
9. Bioremodeller
The bioremodelling treatment is an anti-aging treatment that targets the area of concern’s overall skin quality, skin hydration and will improve the firmness. It is beneficial for the chest as it will improve the skin texture, giving a more youthful appearance.

10. RF Microneedling
RF microneedling, also known as fractional radiofrequency, is a skin rejuvenation and tightening treatment. This is used on the chest region to help with any fine lines, loose skin and acne scarring. It is great for someone who would like minimum downtime and optimal results.
11. IPL
IPL/BBL treatments on the chest area are great for reducing redness and pigmentation on the skin, as well as preventing ageing skin by improving the texture and quality. With treatment, results of improvement of skin discolouration will be evident, and maintenance of the IPL/BBL treatments of up to 3 treatments per year will create a more youthful, healthy glow in the chest area.
12. Vascular Laser
Vascular laser is used to treat redness and capillaries on the neck and chest. These issue commonly occur with sun damage to fairer skin tones.
