Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)
What is PRP?
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a popular and natural injectable treatment at our Sydney clinic which uses your body’s own cells from your blood for rejuvenation, healthy skin maintenance, and to delay ageing.
Describe the Process of PRP
A sample of blood is taken from the patient. The sample is then placed in a centrifuge. The centrifugation process is used to remove the red blood cells, which leaves the “liquid gold” or PRP which contains the higher concentrations of growth factors.
The injector collects the PRP immediately and transfers it to a needle or a number of needles and then reinjects it into the areas where the patient would like rejuvenation.
How does PRP work?
The growth factors in the plasma stimulates stem cells leading to acceleration in soft tissue healing and regeneration.

- Laxity improvement

Is PRP a safe procedure?
Like all medical procedures, there are risks associated. The most common risks are bruising at the injection sites and swelling. Because your own plasma is used, the procedure in general has a lower side effect profile than dermal fillers.
Is there downtime associate with PRP?
When eyes are treated, the area is quite swollen for a couple of days, so downtime is required.
Bruising may last about 1 week.
What procedures can be combined with PRP?
There are multiple procedures that can be combined with PRP, including the following:
- Dermal fillers
- Muscle relaxants
What is the price of PRP?
Pricing of PRP starts at $550. Please see current pricing
What’s new with PRP?

TROUGHBOOSTER and PRP 💉 by @themanseclinic docs. Before and after 1 treatment of each. Working on the delicate skin of the under eyes can be a difficult job. If using fillers here, it always helps if the overlying skin is the best quality it can be. To improve the skin we can use laser, injectables, needling, peels or home care. I’m about to share some more posts about how to improve this under eye area.
