The majority of males prefer their cosmetic results to be natural. Here we will share a case of a man in his early thirties who had cosmetic treatments
This case is important to assess as males also tend to prefer that lean and angular look, but a youthful version. As practitioners, we always need to have a great discussion with the patient to determine the aesthetic look they are trying to achieve.
Case Study
As we can see in the before image, the patient is very lean, with low body fat. He has quite deep temples, which is often associated with this body type. We decided to improve each temple.
He also has some ageing in the midface and tear trough area. He did not want to have that unnatural cheek appearance, which can be so common these days, and we were also concerned with water attraction to his under eye area, so we decided to proceed with short PDO threads for the midface.
His results are very naturally enhanced. He has also had a significant skin improvement, which usually occurs after short threads. He also had recent RF microneedling to his full face, with extra passes under his eye area.
Temples before and afterÂ
Here we see the results after treatment to a male’s temples. We decided to still keep him angular and lean looking and chose to not overtreatthe temple, leaving a gentle depression, see below.
The Midface Threadlift
Our doctor used multiple PDO threads to stimulate the collagen in the midface, we were interested in improving the under eye area, including shortening the tear trough and improving the festoons.
The results are very natural and are the typical subtle results that we are able to achieve with a midface short threadlift.
