Crosslinked Threadlifting Procedure

Author: Dr Naomi / 28 Oct 2015

What are cross-linked threads?

Cross linked threads is a suspension technique used in Promoitalia thread lifting. The threads are placed under the skin in a “basket weaving” technique. Free floating threads are used for this procedure.

The threads are barbed, so when inserted, the barbs attach to the skin tissue to hold the skin in place and achieve the desired lift effect. The threads initiate collagen stimulation. The threads dissolve in 9-12 months but the revitalising effect is maintained for several years due to the fibrosis

Where can Cross-linked threads be used?

The most popular place for the crosslinking procedure with the threads is in the cheeks. But the crosslinking procedure may be used anywhere on the face and body where skin improvement is desired, eg upper arms, thighs and abdomen

Infection is possible. Antibiotics are used for all patients

Threads coming out at a later stage. This is rare
